No open burning will be allowed on Thursday, March 9, according to Hamilton Fire Chief Philip Stevens.
It is a class 4 day, Stevens said, meaning that the fire danger is very high and fires can start easily from all causes. Fires can also spread and increase in intensity rapidly. It is the second highest rating on a scale from one to five, from lowest danger to highest danger.
Open burning season continues through May 1.
