The Hamilton Police Department will honor and remember police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty and all of the officers who have served Hamilton during a ceremony on Police Memorial Sunday. This year Police Memorial Sunday is May 17.
The observance will start at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton Police Memorial in Hamilton Cemetery on Bay Road. The Hamilton Police Relief Association is organizing the event as part of Police Memorial Week.
The guest speaker at the event will be Daniel May, the director of the Reading Police Academy.
“We would like to ask for your attendance and support at this observance,” said Hamilton Police Sgt. Stephen Trepanier.
It is open to the public and everyone is invited.
