Volunteers are needed for the Hamilton-Wenham Cultural Council. There are two vacant positions for Hamilton representatives on the council, plus another four open seats for Wenham residents, according to Kerry Wiersma, who is the council’s chairwoman.
The volunteer council is responsible for awarding grants each year to support cultural activities in the two towns, using the funding the towns receive from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The Hamilton-Wenham Cultural Council generally meets two or three times a year on weeknights in the fall.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the council should complete a volunteer application with a letter of interest and resume, if available, and send it all via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or U.S. mail to Kerry Wiersma, Hamilton Town Hall, P.O. Box 429, Hamilton, MA 01936 or drop it off with Hamilton Town Clerk Andrea Carlson at Hamilton Town Hall.
