The Hamilton Board of Selectmen is scheduled to discuss a draft copy of a proposed land acquisition policy when it meets this week.
Selectmen may also vote on the policy at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
The three page draft aims to set out a “clear and uniform method for acquiring interests in real property for open space preservation, water supply protection, recreation or municipal purposes.”
The policy is also designed to make sure “the acquisition of real property interests are well-considered and address the concerns and needs of all relevant town departments and boards, as well as the general citizenry.”
A complete copy of the draft policy is available here.
