ARTICLE 2015/11 3-1 – Mixed Use Zoning By-law Amendment.
To see if the Town will amend Zoning By-law Section V. Use Regulations, B. Permitted Uses 1. by adding to the current language (at the end of the current text) with the language set forth in Appendix D, or take any action thereon of relative thereto.
This article proposes to amend the town bylaws to allow mixed use. Many second floor spaces in commercial buildings predominantly on Railroad Avenue and Willow Street are vacant and/or underutilized. Mixed-Use Zoning will enable property owners to renovate and utilize the space largely as apartments.
