Four Weeks Left to Register for Citizens’ Fire Academy

fire extinguisher newThe deadline is only a few weeks away to register for Hamilton Fire Department’s Fourth Citizens’ Fire Academy.

The Academy will run from 6:30-9 p.m. for nine consecutive Thursdays, beginning on March 24 and ending on May 19.

For all of the details about the academy, refer to a Town of Hamilton blog post from last month. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 14.

There is no charge to attend, however, participants must be 18 years or older or have a parent’s signature. The class is limited to 20 applicants and preference will be given to Hamilton residents.

Applications may be picked up at the Hamilton Fire Department, 265 Bay Road or you may request an application packet by contacting Fire Chief Philip Stevens at 978-468-5560. Applications can also be downloaded on the Hamilton Fire website, www.hamiltonma.gov or picked up at the Hamilton Town Clerk’s office.
