Trump, Sanders Top the Ticket in Hamilton

2277408667_0d8db8f776Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders were the top vote-getters in Hamilton for Tuesday’s Presidential primary.

Turnout was 51.6%, with 2,895 of Hamilton’s 5,609 registered voters going to the polls at Winthrop Elementary School, according to the unofficial results from Town Clerk Andrea Carlson.

Trump got 435 votes on the Republican ballot in Hamilton, followed by John Kasich, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

Sanders had 829 votes followed by Hillary Clinton with 693 votes on the Democratic Party ballot.

Four voters took the Green-Rainbow Party ballot, splitting their votes four ways.
