Friday is Final Day to Register to Vote at Town Meeting, Town Election

Register_to_VoteFriday is the voter registration cut off in Hamilton for the Annual Town Meeting and Annual Town Election in April.

The Town Clerk’s office in Hamilton Town Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 11 to register new voters.

New registration is for anyone who has never been registered to vote, including residents that will turn 18 before the Annual Town Meeting and Election, plus anyone who has recently moved to Hamilton. If you were previously registered to vote in another Massachusetts community, or in another state, that does not transfer to Hamilton.

It takes just a few minutes to fill out a voter registration form and you should know your driver’s license number or the last four digits of your social security number because the application requires one of those two things but you will not be asked to show any documents.
