Spring Storm Results in Long Day of Plowing and Sanding

snow closeSome Hamilton DPW workers had a 15 hour day on Monday – with much more plowing and sanding than is typical during the first week of April.

“It was not the spring day we would have preferred,” said DPW Director Bill Redford after several inches of snow fell on Monday.

Crews finished up scraping the roads on Monday night and the sanders headed back out at 5 a.m. on Tuesday to hit the main roads before traffic got going, Redford said.
