Traffic congestion should be expected near Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School around the start and finish of graduation on Saturday.
The graduation ceremony is expected to run from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at the high school, 775 Bay Road (Route 1A).
There will likely be traffic congestion on Route 1A at the start and finish of the event, according to Hamilton police. Access to school parking lots will be at the south entrance until the side and front parking lots are filled.
The grounds staff will coordinate parking at the high school and Hamilton police will have one side of Route 1A posted “no parking” in the area of the high school before graduation starts.
Side roads may have to be used in areas that are posted “no parking” too, police said.
Also, a handicap parking area with easy access to the event will be available and high school grounds staff will direct drivers to that area, if needed.
