Hamilton Officer’s Uncle Honored by Police Honor Guard

The Hamilton Police Honor Guard recently participated in the Peabody Centennial parade.

Hamilton Police Officer Andrew Neill carried the POW MIA flag, which was donated to the honor guard by Peabody Police Sgt. Richard Girolimon in memory of his brother, U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Louis M. Girolimon.

Lance Corporal Girolimon was killed in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam on June 10, 1968. Hamilton Police Officer Michael Girolimon, marching to the left of Neill, is the son of Peabody Police Sgt. Richard Girolimon and nephew of Lance Corporal Louis M. Girolimon.

The parade route passed through Girolimon Square, named in honor of Lance Corporal Girolimon.
