Majority of Hamilton Without Power, National Grid Notified

power-outage-candleA majority of Hamilton is without power, as of 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, as a Nor’easter blows through, according to Hamilton police.

A small area in the downtown, from Walnut Road to Asbury Street along Route 1A, has power but a large chunk of the rest of the town is without power, according to Hamilton Police Detective Joe Achadinha. National Grid has been notified and has a crew headed to Hamilton to make repairs.

National Grid said about 2,000 of the 3,100 customers in Hamilton were without power, a sof 11:30 p.m. and it should be back by 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
